Conceived to be a flagship store for a bookstore, the building is location in a privileged site in Avenida Paulista, close to buildings that are considered national treasures, and very close to a very busy subway station.
The project tried to create a very strong, unique and contemporary identity, expressed in its shape and materials.
The 15 meters front setback receives a water feature with fountain and a deck with seating area to serve a coffee shop on the ground level. This invites the pedestrians to enter the building with its great transparency achieved with printed glass in all faces.
The building has 3 underground levels destined for parking, 3 levels of bookstore and the upper level reserved for a restaurant with a terrace on the back.
The connection between the levels is made through escalators close to the street entry and sculptural curved stairs on the opposite end.
The total GLA is approximately 26,000sf with total building area of 52,400sf.
